Should pregnant or breastfeeding women take the COVID-19 vaccine?

Pregnant and breastfeeding patients were not included in the first round of clinical trials for the novel coronavirus vaccination, despite consistent advocacy from national organizations such as the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine (SMFM) and the National Academy of Medicine.
